Randy Lee Justice

Randy Lee Justice, age 69, of Kankakee, IL, passed away peacefully at his home on June 29, 2026. He was born on Sept. 8th, 1956 in Watseka, IL to Carlos Eugene Justice and Rosebella Hopper. He was the oldest of 10 siblings. Brothers Rick, Bob, Denny and Merle Justice, Kenny, Chuck and Joe Swisher and sisters Gigi and Evie Swisher and Loretta (Sis) Kesler. Randy was a Union Iron Worker for over 40 years. Before retiring, he was a member of the Kankakee Local 465 as well as Joliet Local 444. He was the prior owner of The Station House Pub bar in Kankakee in the early 90s. Throughout his life he enjoyed fishing, classic muscle cars, Nascar and Monster Trucks. He loved taking his huge trucks to the local mud drags and earned many trophies for it. On March 4, 1994, he married Sandra (Dumas) DalCanton. Their combined 7 children are Judi (Ronnie) Jones, Sonya (Steve) Sparenberg, Richard Justice, Jennifer (Robbie) Flynn, Jason (Ashlee) DalCanton, Angelo (Stephanie) DalCanton, and Kristina DalCanton. In their 32 years of marriage, they have 20 grandchildren. Brandi (Cameron) Justice, Jeremy Justice, Mikki (Corbin) Curwick, Austin Hagler, Ashley Hagler, Bryce Baker, Mia DalCanton, Angelo DalCanton, Jackson DalCanton, Nash DalCanton, Reign Halbert, Silas Halbert, “Baby Boy” DalCanton, Mariah Flynn, Mollie Flynn, Loralei Justice, Cody Justice, Riley Justice, Evan Jones and Elliot Jones. 2 great grandchildren Camden Alexander and Lance Curwick. Randy was a friend to many but he was Superman to all the kids in his life. It was never out of his way to go above and beyond for anyone, but especially the young ones in his life. Countless nieces and nephews called him Uncle Randy. Then as the grandchildren came, he became Papa. He loved watching his grandkids race around the yard on go carts and dirt bikes. He was always ready to teach them how to find and get into shenanigans. His favorite thing in the world was being a “silent” partner in crime. If it would aggravate Grandma, or make her roll her eyes, if it made their mom slightly scared, and if it was just this side of legal, you could bet Papa Randy was not far away. He will live on through the love he gave and the kindness he taught us. We will continue to shoot off fireworks and have Roman Candle Wars in Honor of a beloved Husband, Father, Papa, our Superman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gene Justice and Rose Walters, son Jeremy Justice, brothers Joe Swisher and Bob Justice, sisters Gigi Lytle and Sis Kesler and grandson Evan Jones. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
